Association of Adult Education Institutions in the Czech Republic is a professional association with its tradition since 1990 which aims to promote the interests and needs of institutions involved in adult education, to concentrate professional authorities for solutions and their design and development in this area together with governmental bodies and other stakeholders in the process of preparation and implementation of legislative and other measures in the field of adult education, to organize trainings and popularizing events, to issue specialized publications and to represent members and their activities in domestic and international associations.

 

We are a member of the Union of Employers' Associations of the Czech Republic and international net of experts ReferNet. The association is represented in the National Council for Qualifications, the National Advisory Forum, the Expert Group of the Ministry of Education, the Accreditation Board for Retraining Programs of the Ministry of Education, and a number of other boards and committees.

 

We organize training courses like Certified Trainer for Education of Adults, Certified Manager for Education of Adults etc. Since 1995 we have continuously organized Weeks of Adult Education, international study tours, conferences, seminars or workshops.

 

Conceptually, substantively and financially we participate in the issuing of the specialized journal on adult education “Andragogika”. We publish our own specialized publications on adult education. We run Andromedia.cz, which is a database of further education, an information base of the area of further education.
